Mr. Book just finished All The Worst Humans: How I Made News for Dictators, Tycoons And Politicians, by Phil Elwood.
The author was a PR guy whose job it was to serve all of the worst humans imaginable. That is not an overstatement of how bad the quality of people his client list was. His clients were not good people and this is his story of representing them.
This book looked interesting when I requested from NetGalley, but the publisher didn’t end up accepting my request. So I decided to purchase when it was released and was disappointed. I can’t agree with all of the good reviews that had attracted me to this one.
The book peaked my interest in the beginning when it opened by the author telling the story that the FBI had arrived and they told him were giving him one hour before they will be knocking on his door. Unfortunately, it went straight downhill from there. I knew it was a book about a bad guy doing bad things. What I was expecting was at least good interesting stories. But, too many of them just weren’t that interesting.
I give this book a C. Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, a C equates to 5 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
